I am writing this for my son so I really don’t know all the details he just told me that he was fired for misconduct that he told one supervisor he would not be in on Friday but the lead supervisor got mad and fired him for no call no show and I think he had missed days before but they knew in advance, someone told me that he could get unemployment but he would have to wait for 6 weeks is this true ?
Hi Boonedock,
I would think they were talking about the disqualification for a discharge for misconduct.
But I believe Oregons’s disqualification is that you must return to work and earn 4 times your weekly benefit amount .. at least and they also reduce the total amount you would be qualified for by 8 times the weekly benefit amount.
It should be clear that if you are required to return to work and earn a certain amount that the separation from the subsequent employment would need to be for a qualifying reason.
