I got let go from my job due to a performance based matter, can I still receive unemployment?

What is the difference between “misconduct” and “poor job performance.” If you won’t do the job you were highly trained to do after numerous warnings and instructions, doesn’t that constitute misconduct?

Yes, if you won’t do the job you were highly trained to do and after numerous warnings and instructions or coaching I’d too would call that willful misconduct ..

However, as a reason for discharge I wouldn’t call that poor performance .. rather I think you are referring to a discharge for neglect of duties.

But since you brought in conditional information not in the question …

Where did you find that specific information you mentioned?

I kept my answer short because there were no specifics included which stated the performance issues existed despite the individual being highly trained, repetitively warned and coached in proper performance.
