I was fired for misuse of a credit card. I was unaware of the policy and submitted reimbursement request. Denied UI benefits in CA. Any suggestions?

I’d have to ask questions first .. like:
Did you receive the employer’s policy?
Are you certain you never signed an “acknowledgment of receipt of the employer’s policy?
What were you trying to be reimbursed for?
How many different receipts?
Had there ever been previous instances of misuse which the employer warned you about or didn’t warn you about?
Did you have doubts about the validity of the purchases you requested reimbursement for?
