I’m getting less pay from the new owner than paid by original owner

The company that I originally worked for in Atlantic City, NJ, was bought by a new owner that made everyone reapply for their job. I was one of a few in my department that was rehired. I accepted the job, and now realize that my income has been greatly reduced. My hourly rate was over $8.00 and now is $4.50. Do I have 30 days to change my mind?

What do you do for a living .. because 4.50 an hour isn’t even the federal minimum wage.

I would also be concerned if you had been informed or if you asked how much you would be paid in the new job.

I do receive tips. However, I made $12.00 all night the last night a worked (for 4 hours) There is no one in the casino.

I am a cocktail server. Unfortunately, they did inform me of the $4.50 an hour, and I did accept.

Then I think it’s time to look for a new job because I don’t think you can expect to collect benefits if you quit. You accepted the conditions of the new job.
