I’m reposting this comment about getting in touch with a live New Jersey Unemployment Agent, in the hopes it won’t just get lost in the many comments here just in case you want to thank Mike D. to the Rescue.

Everyone. This is the only way to speak to a NJ unemployment rep.

You need to write a physical letter and mail it. include all possible info. Name , address, phone, claim ID and Confirmation number if you have them.

Took 9 days and I received a letter outlining details for my phone interview in 2 weeks.

You say write a letter? Why in the hell do you have to write a letter when they invented the phone? It’s almost coming to the point that incompetence is the reason why system is so screwed up. I’d ask Governor Murphy but he’s in Puerto Rico. Must be nice to have a vacation. I’m worried about eating. I would like some kind of response before the year ends. Hah.

It’s been over a year since I filed a claim. You have Governor Murphy on vacation when the unemployment system is in shambles. I can’t take much more. I went without eating more than once last year and it’s not fun. I’m but at my breaking point. When you get Hungary you do stupid things. I need some serious help. Not one word from anybody. The cover thing that’s being used as excuse is old. Get your shit together.
