What can you do about your employer not paying you your wages
My employer did not pay me for two weeks a month or two ago. He stated that he would catch up with me. He then paid me on 12/24/10 and the check was returned for insufficient funds. He again did not pay me for the work week 12/31/10
Hi Kelly,
Since you have asked this question on the page for questions about quitting .. I’m going to show you what I would do before I even gave thought to quitting .. as one of my efforts to “preserve the job” .. “seek all reasonable alternative” etc., etc.,
File an official complaint first to try to collect unpaid wages.
I believe most state have compliance laws specific to payment of wages .. and those that do not defer to the FLSA
At least this is my understanding of how it works.
Not that any of my understanding should be considered a legal understanding ever.
