I just noticed that my UI benefits end this week after receiving since June. I haven’t received any information in regards to the extension of benefits. Do I need to do anything to get the extension that the government has passed? Will the extension just begin January? I live in Florida.
If I knew for sure I would be shouting from the rooftop about it.
The senate took so long to pass a bill for an additional extension that the states are behind in implementing the new extensions .. I believe Florida says they will send you a letter if you are entitled. I’d call and ask a live person at the state.
I have been searching the internet for information that explains what is going on because there is a problem if the emails and questions I’m getting are any indicator.
I found a couple articles that might help explain .. to date, this is the article I found most useful and mentions a “deadline glitch” in the bill passed in November which is creating the problem.
The best explanation of the current unemployment extension problem.
We of course have a bunch of politicians to blame for this and the enduring problem of a lack of bi-partisanship.
For someone like me who wanders down the middle of the road .. I look to my left and look to my right and only see donkeys and elephants with the pickets of the fences they choose to sit on stuck up their asses.
